K & P Homes is headquartered in Kingaroy, the capital of the
South Burnett region of Queensland, Australia. And while we're happy
to build homes in a wide area around Kingaroy (anywhere from Roma and Wide
Bay to Toowoomba), most of our clients are located in the South Burnett itself.
But if you're unfamiliar with the Kingaroy and/or the South Burnett, these
links will give you a much better idea of why so many people have
begun to move to this wonderful area in recent years:

Our region's internet portal was established in 2000 and it's the single
most comprehensive source of information about all aspects of this area.
It has live daily news; a comprehensive daily events calendar; a weekly cinema
guide; local eBay sales and classifieds; listings of all the region's websites;
a Major Annual Events calendar; live daily weather forecasts; and much much
more.

Our region's online business database is part of the South Burnett Online
network and it provides details of all the 2000+ businesses you can find
in the South Burnett. It's much easier to search than the Yellow Pages and
much, much better than Google (which - of necessity - only lists businesses
that have web sites). And it's also incredibly fast. If you're looking for
anything from a hairdresser to a baker, this is the resource to use!

The South Burnett is one of Queensland's two biggest wine regions and if
you're interested in wine, this website lists everything you'd ever want
to know about the South Burnett's wineries and cellar doors.

Our region's online medical and health services directory is part of the
South Burnett Online network and it provides details of all the medical
and health services available in the South Burnett. SB Health also provides
regular news about developments in local health services, along with information
about who to complain to if things go awry.

Thinking about visiting the South Burnett? Then you should use South Burnett
Tourism as your first port of call. This terrific website lists every tourist
facility in the region (from accommodation right through to cafes and service
stations) and unlike the online tourist guides produced by the Queensland
Government, it lists all tourist facilities - not just Tourism Queensland's
members!

The Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the region's peak business
body and their role is to act as a united voice for the local business community
when it speaks to Government, as well as provide help for new businesses
starting up in the area. The KCCI run regular Meet & Greet sessions for
new businesses and many other worthwhile activities throughout the year.

The Wine & Food In The Park Festival is held in Memorial Pak in Kingaroy
on the second Saturday of March each year. Since 1998 this festival has grown
to become one of the largest food and wine festivals in Queensland. It's
also a family-oriented event and a great day out.

-
The Kingaroy Peanut Festival is also held annually (usually in August or
September) and it draws thousands of visitors from all over the South Burnett
and south-east Queensland. Kingaroy is well-known as the peanut processing
capital of Australia and the Peanut Festival celebrates the important role
that peanuts have played - and continue to play - in the South Burnett's
economy.

If you're visiting Kingaroy and looking for accommodation, can we suggest
the Kingaroy Holiday Park and Cabins? They have the largest range of cabin,
caravan and camping site accommodation in Kingaroy and their ultra-modern
park provides all the facilities you need for a great stay.
